Mumbai. Cotton yarn traded steady in domestic markets on Wednesday amid slow local demand and better export inquiries. Traders said that local buyers were not willing to make fresh purchases as they already contracted ample quantity of yarn. However, demand improved from overseas markets particularly from China.

Export offers for 30 count combed yarn placed at USD 3.70-3.80 per kg CNF.

Offers for 30 count combed cotton yarn placed at Rs 205 per kg, 30 count carded cotton yarn knitting at Rs 180-185 per kg and 30 single PC at Rs 196-198 per kg in Ludhiana.

Offers for 60 count carded weft yarn placed at Rs 1,120-1,170 per 5 kg, for 40 carded warp at Rs 190-195 per kg, for 60 combed at Rs 265-275 per kg, for 54 count combed at Rs 260-265 per kg and for 64 combed at Rs 285-290 per kg (ex mill) in Coimbatore.
